9th International Seminar "Quality and Libraries" was held in Bari on 16th and 17th June 2006, as organised by Regional Council of Puglia, the Multimedia Library and the Documentation Centre "Teca del Mediterraneo".
The seminar focused on quality management in libraries, aiming to draw attention to and make clearer the importance of this instrument in relation to the great role entrusted to libraries and documentation centres in evaluating memory and identity, as well as the participation in building democracy and intercultural relations.

On the occasion of 250th anniversary of the birth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the Central National Library "Đurđe Crnojević", in cooperation with the Faculty of Arts and the Music Academy from Cetinje, on 8th June 2006 in the library premises (Former Italian Embassy) organised a night featuring the works of this renowned composer.
The thematic night includes the exhibition of the written and audio holdings on Mozart from the Music Collection of the Central National Library (sheet music, records and monographs), exhibition of drawings by students from the Faculty of Arts and the concert organised by the Music Academy of Cetinje.

Within the First International Book Fair in Podgorica (31.05-5.06), where CNL "Đurđe Crnojević" was one of the exhibitors, the Library editions were presented - 02.06: the publishing activity of the Library and its most significant projects, its editors and contemporary editions were presented in detail by the current editor Čedomir Drašković. |
