The Central National Library “Đurđe Crnojevi” participated to the 3rd International Podgorica Book Fair, held under the slogan “Read Yourself” at the Distribution Centre in Podgorica from May 13-19, 2008. Numerous visitors had the opportunity to enjoy the world of books, the experience made possible by more than 100 exhibitors. Bosnia and Herzegovina, the host-country of this year’s fair presented itself with interesting contents and an appealing film promoting the culture and tourism destinations of this country.
As a part of the Fair events, a roundtable discussion focusing on “Cooperation of National Libraries in the Region” was held highlighting the most important outcomes of this cooperation. The round table discussion participants were Jelena Đurović, CNL “Đurđe Crnojević” director, Sreten Ugričić, manager of the National Library of Serbia, Ismet Ovčina, director of the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Dragan Marković, director of the University Press, a publishing house from Sarajevo.
At its stand the Central Library presented its recognisable editions on the topics of Montenegrin library science, cultural history, and valuable bibliographic editions.
