Adolf Knoll, director in charge of science and research and international cooperation within the National Library of the Czech Republic will hold lectures on Digitalisation of Cultural Heritage in the Central National Library “Djurdje Crnojevic” at Cetinje on 24 and 25 November, starting at 10.00.

Mr Adolf Knoll is an eminent expert in digitalisation and the coordinator of the national programme Digital Czech Library. He is the representative of his National Library in the G7 Bibliotheca Universalis project, as well as the initiator of the ENRICH project, aiming to build the European digital library of manuscript books, with the possibility of unlimited access to physically distant digital manuscript sources.

The lectures are intended for the staff of libraries and similar institutions of culture and science engaged in the area of cultural heritage. They will include the topics like conversion of documents from analogue into the digital form, creation of digital items and the basic terms related to modern digital libraries.
