| CNL “Djurdje Crnojevic” participates to the International Book Fair in Rijeka |

The Central National Library “Djurdje Crnojevic” will attend the BOOK FEST – the International Book Fair to be held in Rijeka from 26 to 30 May 2010, at the invitation of the Association of Montenegrins from Littoral-Mountainous County, Croatia. Hence, the Montenegrin national library joined the celebration of 21 May, Montenegrin Statehood Day and the Day of Association of Montenegrins from Littoral-Mountainous County. During the visit to Rijeka, within the BOOK FAIR, at its stand the Library will present own publishing production, as well as projects successfully implemented over the last several years. During the Fair, at the Library of Novi Vinodolski an exhibition on “Fundamental Works on Montenegro: 1989 – 2010” will be displayed. Present-day Montenegro, an independent European state, will be presented through a selection of works from the holdings of the Central National Library “Djurdje Crnojevic” published over the last two decades from various fields: history, archaeology, cultural history and legal sciences. In addition, significant studies on Montenegrin heritage, architecture visual arts and music, literature, Montenegrin language, natural beauties will also be presented. Moreover, it includes most significant works in the areas of economy, history, maritime affairs, medicine, as well as a publication on Montenegrin diaspora. A special section is devoted to the books on historic, political, cultural and other relations between Montenegro and Croatia testifying of multi-centennial cooperation, constant blending and the richness of cultures sharing this space. |
